The influences she brings to the songwriting process, create some different configurations of musical architecture.

Take for instance, the bass drum sound in "i wouldn't stop." You just don't hear that type of sound in a typical singer/songwriter CD. Touches like these are needed in music. It's also refreshing to hear a piano-infused set of songs come out of her current geographical locus, Austin. Her vocal and piano technique, yikes, it's great to hear someone sing in great tune. My fave track is the remix of "less is more" at the end of the CD. This points to more great things that she will be doing. Her pedigree in dance music, mixed with her expression as a singer/songwriter, or songer/singwriter, creates great musical interest. It's nice to hear new things.
