gfire had an incredible experience during SXSW last week, Wednesday, March 14 through Saturday, March 17, 2007.

Among her highlights:

1. A near perfect performance of her new solo electronic set at the "Invasion of the GoGirls!" showcase at Austin Java, 12th and Lamar, Saturday March 17. We (the other GoGirls and I) played to about 50-60 very enthusiastic people under the Austin Java outdoor tent and it was both very musical and lots of fun.

My song "some things" (track #1 on "triangle") will be included on the April 2007 edition of the Texas Music magazine sampler. This sampler also includes George Jones, Merle Haggard, Billy Joe Shaver and the Derailers.

My song "rapid flow" (track #8 on "triangle") has just been included on the "Acoustic Rainbow" sampler, which goes out to 1300 AAA, Americana and folk radio stations worldwide. Past "Acoustic Rainbow" sampler artists include Willie Nelson, Ricky Skaggs, Michelle Shocked and Cris Williamson.
