“3 Singing Sirens” – a benefit for SafePlace
In times of economic stress, helping SafePlace is more important than ever

Austin, Texas - (December 1, 2008) GoGirlsMusic.com is proud to sponsor “3 Singing Sirens” (a benefit for SafePlace) - at Momo’s - 618 W. 6th St. on Saturday, December 13, 2008. The show kicks off at 9pm and features three world-renowned female singer-songwriters. This holiday event will promote and raise money for SafePlace, Austin’s premier resource for helping victims of rape, sexual abuse and domestic violence.

“3 Singing Sirens” features well-known Austinite Patrice Pike as the headlining act, Switzerland’s Bettina Schelker on her first major USA tour and local electro-acoustic artist gfire as support. Tickets are $12 (with a portion going to SafePlace). In between acts will be a live auction, a silent auction and a raffle giving audience members a chance to bid on prizes from local merchants, including Avalon Salon, Pink Salon, Texas Coffee Traders, Mother’s Café, Bookwoman, Paul Fazenbaker Massage, painter Frank Suchomel and more.

With the downturn in the economy, there have been many more instances of reported domestic violence. The National Domestic Abuse Hotline, headquartered in Austin, documented a whopping 21 percent increase in calls for September 2008 over the same month in 2007. Now more than ever, during this holiday season 2008, it is vital to support SafePlace and its deserving client base of survivors.
